Golf in Wicklow

Wicklow is a golfer's paradise, with well over 20 Golf Courses in the county, many set in stunningly beautiful panoramic countryside.
Each of these courses has its own charms and challenges for golfers of all handicap levels.
Some of Wicklow's golf courses are world famous and have hosted international competitions. Druids Glen, known as the "Augusta of Europe" hosted the Irish Open in 1996,1997, 1998 and 1999.
Wicklow Golf Club is located in Wicklow Town on the coast road to Brittas Bay. It is situated on the cliffs overlooking Wicklow Bay. Extended to 18 holes in 1994 the course is a challenging test of golf with each hole having its own individual features. It has panoramic views of the Wicklow Mountains to the west and the Irish Sea to the east.
